Triston Casas is primed to be in the heart of the Red Sox lineup for 2025, and the team is going to need him to show up in crucial moments throughout the season. Knowing this, Casas has decided to make an adjustment to his swing to complement his surroundings.
With half the season played at Fenway Park, Casas has lowered his hands in a rested position before his load, contributing to a swing more dedicated to opposite-field contact. This adjustment should lead to a lot of extra-base hits with help from the Green Monster in left field.
Not enough attention goes into how certain players tailor their swings to their home ballparks, and this is a great example of a player making the most of his environment. All is looking as good as it could be in spring training for Casas’ potential breakout campaign.
