Red Sox Batting Order Is Taking Shape

After an offseason of adding Bregman and stars healing up, the batting order was always going to be a question. Alex Cora gave us his first tell of what he’s going to have it look like.

With Duran and Devers at the top of the order, Cora is clearly looking for a 1-2 punch to start games and notices the trend of putting your most impactful hitter in the #2 spot. The back half of the first five are guys who already have pressure to perform, but even more so now with the opportunities the top of the order will give them.

It’s obviously going to play out that if guys like Story and Casas pull through, that’s when the win total for this team will be higher. Bregman should be more of a certainty in terms of what you’re getting, but Story and Casas must stay healthy and productive.

  1. If Story pulls through and stays healthy that would literally be massive. He might be the most important player for our teams success tbh, though we have so much depth that’s hardly like our playoff expectations hinge on him but you know what I mean

  2. If the reporters asked Casas I bet they could get the bottom 4 too
