Word on the Street: Drafting WRs

It’s around that time of year when we fans start fantasizing about QB-drafted WR connections. We do not have time for yet another miss at WR. This position must be upgraded, and it should be through free agency or trade.

Get this type of separation creation via trade; otherwise, you gamble with the potential free agents like Tee Higgins or Chris Godwin. Not the biggest fan of either—with Higgins benefiting from Chase helping him get open, and Godwin coming off a major injury—but it’s more bang for your buck than a WR in the draft.

We have too many variables as it is at WR. Now is the time to know what you are getting…

    I don’t understand why you can’t apply the same exact logic you just applied for Higgins to Aiyuk as well. He has Kittle, Deebo, elite Oline, scheming and RB. For Metcalf, too – he’s had Lockett his entire career, now he has JSN as well. I’m not saying your right; I’m saying your wrong on all of these IMO.

    Metcalf would be fine. Godwin and Higgins would be fine. Aiyuk had a disasterous season this year with a terrible mentality and poor performance on the field, not a guy you want for a young team. Jeudy is a diva without the talent to back it up.

    Drafting someone is okay too. There’s no right way to do this; it’s not “get an olinemen!” or “get a WR!” it should be “get a good player!” because where we are right now there are plenty of holes and not any single one should be prioritized for the sake of being prioritized.
