Word on the Street: Alex Van Pelt’s Play-Calling

This should be a fun series of articles going forward, so keep the tweets/”X’s” coming. There seems to be a prevalent theme about how poorly Patriots OC Alex Van Pelt has been calling plays…

I would pump the brakes on this narrative, people. Uncharacteristically, how many different coordinators have we gone through now since Josh McDaniels?

You can say Patricia wasn’t qualified enough all you want—both Patricia and O’Brien knew about both sides of the ball and didn’t get much out of this continuously inept offense either. The limited skill and execution the offensive players have on this team starves a coordinator of the creativity he wants to use.

Talking up Drake Maye’s rushing ability says all you need to know about what the ball catchers restrict this offense to…

  1. SCREW YOU BARRY!!!

AVP IS FINE HE DESERVES TIME TO FIGURE IT OUT!

Although I don’t agree with that little parting shot at the end there… Maye’s scrambling ability is a genuine weapon and one that should be praised regardless of the circumstances. He’s literally already said he knows he’s a passer, we don’t need to get all worried up about him becoming an RGIII.
