On Tuesday night vs. Florida, the Boston Bruins were not only playing slow but playing unaware of their identity. If the Bruins do not recognize their identity, this will be a very long season.
The 2024–2025 Bruins are a heavier team that should be playing offense below the dots and clearing guys out in front of the net on the defensive end. If the Bruins try to play side to side, they will be snuffed out in short order.
Look for the Bruins to play more to this identity in the next few games, as Montgomery is surely thinking the same thing. A traditional matchup vs. Montreal should serve as an exciting bounce-back.
