TORONTO — After a crucial opening win against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Boston Red Sox will look to build momentum with their ace, Garrett Crochet, set to take the mound in Game 2. You should expect the bullpen to stay quiet until around the seventh inning, but with Crochet still navigating uncharted territory as a new starter, this could turn into a Greg Weissert-type scenario.

Both he and Steven Matz are available on multiple days’ rest, making them candidates to eat innings if needed. Regardless, look for either of them to appear in the later innings ahead of Aroldis Chapman.
