TORONTO — The big guns in the bullpen should be available after Thursday’s off day following the Tampa Bay Rays series, and the Boston Red Sox will need them. Probable starter Lucas Giolito has hit a few road bumps recently, so expect a series opener that could ask the bullpen to deliver in a tight game or cover innings early.

Justin Slaten has come on strong in his last few outings, making him a growing option in tight scenarios as well. The whole bullpen could see work, but with only a few games left against a team like this, expect Alex Cora to lean on his most trusted arms.
