The Marcelo Mayer hype has died down a little bit over the years, but that has turned out to be a good thing. Mayer seems to be benefitting from the spotlight being dimmed.

Seeing infield prospect Kristian Campbell struggle early, pressing for results in spring training, Mayer can now slip under the radar despite his promising swing and athletic build. His effortless ability at the plate could have him emerge as the top prospect of the group in short order.

Regardless, the trio of prospects the Red Sox have is putting them in a great position for both the present and the future. Anthony and Campbell have made the most recent noise through the media, but Mayer is taking this opportunity to relax his hands and let his swing do the talking.
