In a WR-Deprived Offense, Marcus Jones Should Be Utilized

If Bill Belichick even knows to use Marcus Jones more on offense, that’s when you really know you’re cooked. However, Jones could have been used more even in the Belichick era, and it’s frustrating to see.

The truth of Marcus Jones is that there is a type of agility only possessed by certain players, and I believe Jones has it. When used on offense by Belichick, the end-arounds and screens showed that not only did Marcus Jones have straight-line speed like Tyquan Thornton, but he also has a side-to-side quickness that only players like Tyreek Hill use to strike fear into defenses.

In an infinitely barren spot for dynamic WRs, why isn’t Marcus Jones being used more frequently and, perhaps, being transitioned into a player for the most important side of the ball? Seems like a pretty easy second guess — and a good one at that.
