Lonnie Walker Taking on the Derrick White Blueprint

You cannot help but think of Derrick White’s style of play when you get a seemingly underappreciated player from his prior team. Stars are aligning when you hear Walker mention the focus on “all the little things.”

As long as Walker keeps his head down as Derrick White did when he got here, the same 6’4″ build can help perfect the little things for this edition of the team. If we can utilize two similar fundamental-based players on our team to wear down opponents, that’s just another item in the toolbox.

Assuming very early that this happens, the depth will be plentiful for the Celtics once again. At the very least, this determined and humbled player deserves a good shot. We can also keep an eye on Joe Mazzulla’s ability to develop new players through this process as well.

Response

  1. Mazzulla: Lonnie!

    Lonnie: What up?

Mazzulla: If you could paint a house in eight hours and I can paint a house in five hours, how many hours would it take us to paint it together?

    Lonnie: …What color paint
