Drake Maye is making his debut tomorrow, and receivers like Ja’Lynn Polk could benefit while also being on their own ascent. Look for Ja’Lynn Polk and others to start producing more as a new QB comes in and Polk potentially works from the slot more.
This is a long-standing topic among fans, though, as no Patriots WR has demanded enough attention from the X position to force defenses to respect them. With some Patriots fans talking up Tyquan Thornton so much, maybe this is the time to keep him at the X to free up even more opportunities for Polk.
Regardless, I anticipate Patriots WRs like Polk and even Baker to get a better look—and therefore better production—with Drake Maye at QB. Bombs away, New England.
