8×8.25 Was the Magic Number for Swayman

There it is, folks—and it’s beautiful. Keeping the Swayman contract in the low 8s was universally a healthy goal for us.

Jeremy Swayman brought his competition and fire to the negotiating table, and now we can see that come to our benefit in his play. He will now try to bring the same fire to a much more plentiful regular season for him.

Swayman will need time to get started, though, as these contract talks halted his involvement in training for the season. Korpisalo should be in line to start for the first week of the regular season or so.

It’s now up to Jeremy Swayman to prove that he can play a healthy sum of regular-season and playoff games—and do it effectively. He wants the Cup, we always want the Cup… let’s do this.
