We should finally have an answer to this crazy negotiation with Jeremy Swayman. Monday’s deadline will inflict penalties on both sides.

An unconfirmed report has also stated that Swayman and his camp have lowered their ask to under $9 million AAV. If that’s the case, I would think this deal gets done soon.

If the deal does get done, it will probably be 8×8.75. If the Bruins choose to part ways, this means more cap space to spend on the team unit later on, heading into the NHL Playoffs.
